Factually, when people get older, they will lose the cognitive function. But with healthy lifestyle, the progress can be decreased. So, how to change your lifestyle to get more healthy brain to slower dementia?

1. Avoid stress
Heavy burden mind can lead to stress. Therefore, learn to manage and respond to problems and deal with all things optimistically. Stress that lasts for years can cause the shrinking of hippocampus, an important part of the brain to store memory. This could lead to memory declining. So that all you have to do is think positive and do activities that are useful to make your emotions stable. So that stress could be lost.

2. Sleeping quality
You should have enough and regular sleep every day. Therefore, irregular sleep cycles can reduce your stamina and weakens the power of concentration. Get plenty of sleep to make you fresh.

3. Physical Exercise
Start exercising regularly because cardiovascular exercises increase blood flow to the brain so that it can improve brain function as well.

4. Nutrition
Protein on fish, meat, dairy products, and grains are very good for brain cells’ formation. Moreover, the most popular food for brain is fish oil that useful for increasing the activity of the brain, improving blood circulation, improving memory and concentration.

5. Stay away from nicotine, drugs, and alcohol
Nicotine can poison the blood vessels that can trigger brain damage. While consuming drugs and alcohol will interfere the brain cells’ work. So you will be difficult to concentrate and remember things.

6. Social interaction
Participating in social interaction will challenge you to communicate effectively. Maintaining your friendship and family network give the opportunities to share knowledge and experiences that really helpful for the emotional expression. Then emotional support that comes up from social engagement may enrich the environment for healthy brain.

7. Brain Exercises
Brain exercises like Sudoku games, chess, learn music instrument need high concentration. If you do it regularly, it will sharpen and focus your mind.
