I used this yesterday to remove the hair on my face — it’s fine hair, but there’s a lot of it. I waxed upper lip, “sideburns,” and under my chin. I am extremely pleased with the results. The gel was a little messy but it rinses right off so not really a problem. It removed the great majority of the hair. I experienced mild discomfort, but it was much more comfortable than either having someone else wax me or having electrolysis, both of which I’ve tried in the past.

I have a little irritation today, which is typical for me after waxing, but overall I really prefer the Nad’s gel to other waxes. I noted that other reviewers didn’t have similarly good experiences, and I wonder if Nad’s is perhaps more effective (and less painful) on finer facial hair than on coarser body hair? Just a thought. Anyway, I’m really happy to not have a moustache today :) and would recommend Nad’s for other ladies with facial hair.

I have been using this product for three years, and yes I am pleased with it. The wax does not need to be heated but when the wax hardens (and it will) the best way to soften it is to place the container in a bowl of water and stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds; make sure the foil is completely removed and the container cannot be fully submerged in water, otherwise water will sneak in and that will make the wax completely useless. After 30 seconds have passed stir the wax to check the firmness, repeat if needed; I go for an ‘Elmer’s Glue’ consistency, but the wax must never be steaming or feel hot when applying to skin.

Other than that, follow the instructions provided with the wax and strips on how to apply and remove the wax successfully. I would only add that it helps to have two small hand towels with you during the whole process: one that is warm and damp for removing wax that may get on your hands and fingers when applying the wax, and one dry towel so as to make sure the skin is completely dry before applying the wax.

I know everybody is different, but this product really is my preference when it comes to hair removal. And I’ve tried just about everything available apart from laser surgery and radio frequency hair removal. I even purchased the finest epilator money could buy only to find out that I’m just not hard core enough to use one of those puppies! It just takes wayyyyy too long to get all the hair off of one leg. The first time I tried epilating, I was taking deep breaths and trying to watch a movie to distract myself from the agony. The only reason I finished both legs was because I didn’t want to be a pussy and throw in the towel. Depilatory creams always smell like death to me no matter how hard they try to cover up the chemicals with perfume. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried Veet on my naughty bits once and ended up with a chemical burn. It made for a hilarious story, but I’m not brave enough to try any more creams. (I never liked any of them for my legs anyhow) I’ve also used different types of waxes, and have even made my own, but they tend to leave my skin all bumpy and rash covered. I also find them more painful than Nad’s. I follow the instructions and I end up with awesome results when I use Nad’s gel. It is the least painful method for me, and the only product that doesn’t give me bumps and rashes. For some reason I also get ingrown hairs when I use other products, but not with Nad’s. Every person is different, so you never know what you are going to like best unless you try different things.

Nad’s Hair Removal Gel is a good product for dark, more coarse hair. Like many hair removal products it is not as good on fine, blonde hair.

I hate shaving. I also hate animal testing and icky, irritating chemicals (such as those found in depilatories).

Nad’s seemed too good to be true…but it isn’t.

People who seem to have problems with it also seem to be not following the directions. It says right there in the packaging to put on a THIN layer. If you do that, instead of glopping it all over the place, it really works.

There are some minor tricks to it, but it’s not that hard to figure out (such as, it may solidify, but just pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds and you’ll be fine. It won’t even be hot). Just follow the directions!

I get baby smooth, stubble free legs for at least a guaranteed month with this stuff. I’ll never go back to razors.
