Do you know the symptoms of menopause? Menopause is a natural phase that must be passed by every woman. Commonly, women have menopause in age 51 years old. So what is menopause? It is a physiological stage where a woman is no longer getting the menstrual cycle. At that time, menopause will occur due to the decreasing production of estrogen hormone because of egg cells in the ovaries run out. The decreasing in estrogen hormone that make to various symptoms and signs before, during and after menopause.
There are some signs for women who experiencing menopause, namely:
1. Hot flushes
Hot flush is feeling heat that suddenly occurs on the face or upper body. It is also sometimes followed by reddening of the skin and sweating.
2. Osteoporosis
The cessation of estrogen production by the ovaries will affect the balance in bone calcium metabolism. After menopause, the more calcium will be discarded rather than stored. In the long run, it will cause the bones become porous.
3. Difficulty of sleeping
Difficulty sleeping is usually experienced because of the excessive sweat especially at night that make uncomfortable for sleeping.
4. Psychological changes
Sometimes women feel depression, mood changes, headaches, or fatigue when she will enter the menopause phase.
5. Physical Changes
There are some physical changes that characterize menopause like the skin becomes thicker, dry feeling in vagina because of lubrication that produced by estrogen is decrease, sore joints, urinating more frequently.
6. Irregular periods
Irregular period is most common in the midforties as you approach menopause. It cause by the decreasing of estrogen production.
Because menopause is a natural phase that must be faced by every woman, then you should be wiser to deal with. There’s no medicine that can eliminate the menopause, but you can slow down the menopause by doing some tips in my next post.
