I am amazed that this stuff really works as an african american female who suffered form hideous and painful razor bumps. I am soooo happy that I finally broke down and tried this product out for not only did it virtually illiminate my razor bumps but I no longer suffer from the severe itching of newly grown hairs and the hairs don’t grow back as quickly. As I consumer I firmly believe that if a product claims to do something it should do just that which holds true for this product.

Tend Skin is really only useful for ingrown hairs. It’s basically a highly effective exfoliant. It is TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE if you get really bad ingrown hairs. I have used it for over 10 years. I get ingrown hairs from shaving my legs and waxing body hair. Tend skin makes this bearable, otherwise I’d have to go all hippie and stop shaving all together. I use it once or twice a day, especially in summer. There is another product on the market that has similar ingredients in a gel roll-on, but it isn’t strong enough to work.

Drawbacks: The price, obviously. You have to use it daily, especially after waxing. It is a liquid, and most easily applied like toner with a cotton ball. If you use your hands to apply this liquid like a lotion it works, but your hands get peely skin. I like to use latex gloves. Tend Skin makes fake tanning difficult; because it exfoliates so well, your fake tan with disappear faster. It smells harsh until it dries (2 minutes) I would not use it on sensitive facial skin. And it doesn’t get rid of zits, unless they are ingrown hairs. Despite what the directions indicate, it’s VERY IRRITATING ON RAZOR BURN or SKIN THAT HAS JUST BEEN SHAVED.

I have used Tend Skin for around three years now for razor bumps on the bikini line. Before I started using it, I had tried everything else and resigned to the fact that I’d always be stuck with bumps along the bikini line. A friend of mine told me about Tend Skin and swore by it, so I bought a small bottle. It seemed like it was expensive, but that first bottle lasted well over 6 months. It does smell like alcohol at first but the smell goes away when it dries. As far as the other reviews on here, I’ve only had stinging when I used it IMMEDIATELY after shaving…I think b/c the pores were still open from the shower. For me, it’s been a skin saver when I’d already given up the search. I hope that the negative reviews on here don’t discourage people from trying it. Everyone’s skin reacts somewhat differently. Of the millions of bottles of Tend Skin sold every year, I think the half dozen people on here who didn’t like it are the few unhappy rarities, not the average who, like me, thank goodness it’s around.

I really do not feel tend skin works as advertised. The irritation to my neck persisted and if anything had only gotten worse after applying as instructed. One good thing is that you if you are like me and have trouble waking up in the morning — tend skin helps for that! Just take a strong whiff and you’ll be alert and ready for your day!

This stuff is supposed to help razor burn, ingrown hairs. Honestly after all the time using it I can’t honestly say if it works. What I can say is that it smells terrible. Not a weak terrible smell, but a strong, overpowering stink.

It also burns like crazy when you put it on.

The Tend Skin company puts out this story about a miraculous discovery – a dentists patient came to him after a tooth extraction and raved that whatever the anesthetic was that he was given, it had cured his ingrown hairs.

Well, there are three ingredients in tend skin – alcohol, glycerin, and aspirin. Thats it.

So apparently this dental patient had been cured of ingrown hairs by taking an aspirin.

Bottom line is, this product is insanely overpriced, and they hide it with this distortion, this silly propaganda about its “miraculous discovery.”

A little bottle of alcohol and aspirin should cost a tenth of this.
