What is Cellulite? and What Causes Cellulite?

Having a beautiful and slim body is a woman’s pride. So, she can wear various kinds of dresses, even the sexiest ones. But what happens if you wear the hot bikini, but cellulites appear on your thighs. Well, it might be annoying, because your skin look not healthy. So, What is Cellulite?

what causes cellulite?Cellulite is the excessive fat accumulation on the skin layer (hypodermis), makes the uneven skin or some people call it orange peel syndrome. Commonly, cellulite can be found in certain body’s parts such as arms, thighs, abdomen, below the shoulders, buttocks, lower back, hips and knees. On the early stages, the skin surface looks flat, but if you pressed and squeezed it, the white wrinkle like orange peel will be visible. As time goes, the appearance of cellulite will come to skin surface and can be seen by naked eyes. So, it might be very disturbing for you, when people start to ask, “Are they cellulite around your tummy?”.

Actually having cellulite on your skin is not the end of the world, because many people can get it. Not only the fat women, because cellulite is suffered by across gender and anatomy. So, no wonder thin man can get cellulite too.

The main cause of cellulite is hormonal changes in the body. But, there are some triggering factors that can cause orange peel syndrome, namely: obesity, unhealthy food, alcohol, caffeine, smoking, stress, and lack of rest. If you were a smoker, the nicotine toxin can clog skin capillaries so the nutrients in blood couldn’t circulate smoothly. That’s why skin’s smokers are very vulnerable to get cellulite because their skin elasticity is reduced. Stress and lack of rest also trigger cellulite because the excessive muscle tension makes the skin glands closing so that inhibits the skin metabolic processes.
